We have a basic kitchenette for serving drinks and we have 2 WC’s. The facilities are basic but that means we can host all sorts of activities from the Truro City of Lights workshops through to roller disco and much more… come and have a look round and see what you think!

Come to any of the planned engagement activities at Pydar and we can give you a tour. We hope the space will:

  • Enable a wide range of community activities to be hosted in central Truro
  • Test the potential for a future community led venue within the future Pydar neighbourhood
  • Provide a new type of venue that is both accessible and affordable

A small management committee has been formed to help organise and manage ideas for the Pop UP. The space will operate throughout 2020 until the plans for the new neighbourhood are developed in detail. It is hoped that the management committee will evolve into a working party looking at options for longer term access to accessible, affordable and inclusive community space for events and activities in central Truro. This work will include a review of existing community assets within the town.

To discuss your ideas for activities at the venue or to make a booking please email Truro BID or call on 01872 273 999.

The Pop UP venue is located at the former Hardy’s Carpets shop and warehouse at 8 St Clements Street. The building is on the border of the 4 hectare Pydar regeneration area and opposite the Truro Highcross car park.
